This project included the refurbishment and conversion of existing storage and office space into residential flats across 18 high and low rise blocks in Coventry, Birmingham and Worcester. The properties comprise a mix of one and two-bed flats and a three-bedroom house all designed to Citizen Housing Groups (WM Housing) specification for social rent.
Properties to be scheduled with an average 12-week programme of works with starts overlapping to meet the required completion dates.
The extensive scope of work includes the requirement for removal of asbestos, remodelling of the layouts to create living accommodation including new services, major works and demolition, remodelling, door and window replacement, installation of kitchens and bathrooms, mechanical and electrical works, plastering and drylining followed by decoration.
All materials are delivered on a ‘just in time’ basis as there is little or no storage on site. Any storage was in each individual property and therefore created limitations to the amount of materials held on-site.
