This project comprised of external improvement works to 40 occupied one-bed bungalows for the elderly.
The works comprised the removal of existing asbestos soffit and renewal with UPVC soffit and stripping existing cladding / render back to the existing substrate and installation of new external wall insulation build-up.
Citizen (Formerly WM Housing), together with Seddon were committed to working with elderly and vulnerable residents to provide services representing value for money and delivering excellent standards.
All works were conducted in a live environment and in addition, we delivered the works whilst managing expectations around access and disruption.
We published useful information on our website and other social media platforms and issued information bulletins on a regular basis to residents including verbal communication and newsletters, which contained information about deliveries, noise disruption, contact details and any future events.
Seddon ensured that pre-work liaison was undertaken with residents confirming the nature and timing of works and advised residents each morning when and where work was about to commence.
Pathways used by residents and visitors were kept clear at all times while work is undertaken and equipment and waste are removed from site each night. Safety barriers were put in place and monitoring of the public was undertaken together with visible signage warning of men at work.
