This is a negotiated contract, alongside the delivery of 63 homes at Newport Lane on the same site. Land was purchased by Seddon RDP (Seddon Regeneration brand), and will be “flipped” to Stoke City Council under a Sale Contract on practical completion.
Seddon built out the development, with milestone payments paid by Seddon RDP under a JCT contract for the construction of ten houses and one three-storey block of 12 apartments, together with water, gas, electrical and telecommunication services and access road.
Using Seddon standard house types, all homes are available for affordable rent and consists of two-bed apartments and three-bed houses, maintaining the character of the local area.
The site is located on the old Stanley Potteries off Newport Lane and repurposes a derelict Brownfield site. As part of an overall development of 85 homes, Furlong Road is located to the southern section.
A portion of the funding for the development is provided by Homes England via the National Housing “ Infrastructure Fund.
The project is scheduled to complete April 2023
