Seddon was appointed by Gladman Care Homes Ltd to construct 57 apartments with communal facilities including 37 car parking spaces (4 disabled spaces) associated amenity space and landscaping. The building is a single block ‘S’ shaped building facing onto Factory Street and Porritt Way. The building is predominantly 3 storey with elements of 2 storey.
Located in Ramsbottom on a brownfield site, the new construction incorporated piling, caps and beams, traditional masonry/stone, Wide-span units and PCC stairs, trussed roof and fit-out. We were also required to complete new hard and soft landscaping to the externals.
Works were carefully planned to minimise disruption to the surrounding areas and local community.
During works Seddon sponsored Ramsbottoms 1940’s festival which was held over the May Bank Holiday weekend. One of the organisers said they had a fantastic turnout and the sun was shining.
This project was handed over in May 2020.
