This project undertook the reconfiguration of the entrance to the Vue Cinema located on a retail and leisure park in Walton-Le-Dale.
The cinema remained open throughout the works programme (11 am to midnight), hence pedestrian management was a key feature. The temporary hoarding lines and pedestrian routes were fluid.
Close-working with the client was essential to allow the cinema to function as normal. The site setup was located on the existing complex car and was within sight of the works area.
The compound enclosure was secured by open mesh Heras type panels which were visually appropriate & properly erected and maintained. The works site was enclosed by solid, high-quality hoardings. Access onto the working site was controlled and visitors were asked to sign in and out.
Those most affected by the works are kept informed via face to face contact and regular meetings.
A sound relationship has been built with the cinema, and the two restaurants adjacent to the site.
