The works comprise survey, design and replacement of kitchens and bathrooms throughout various properties in Coventry.
The works were undertaken in existing occupied domestic dwellings, some of which were in multi-storey blocks with access via small lifts or staircases.
The proposed works generally comprise of the following refurbishment of existing kitchens including new units, redecoration, flooring and refurbishment of existing bathrooms including new sanitaryware, redecoration and flooring.
The majority of the dwellings were occupied throughout the day and therefore disruption to the tenant was kept to a minimum. This also meant that working hours were restricted to between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Safe access for the occupants of the buildings was kept free from obstruction in all areas including fire exits and general circulation areas.
We appointed two Resident Liaison Officers at the request of Citizen Housing Group (WM Housing) for the duration of the contract to act as full-time liaison between the residents and the employer’s representatives. They were contactable by phone at all times to make access arrangements for the works, discuss any queries and resolve problems relating to the works.
Our RLO’s were also responsible for writing to each resident giving at least ten working days notice of our intention to start the works and stating the details of the work to be carried out.
