A 4-year construction framework for the public sector across the North West.

Seddon are pleased to have secured a place on the latest iteration of the Low Value Construction Framework to deliver construction works for the public sector in the North West.

The North West Construction Hub is one of the UK’s highest performing public sector capital procurement frameworks. The NWCH transports project delivery and reshapes best practice in construction procurement for North West’s public sector. Established in 2009 to respond to Central Government’s drive to improve the public sector, they have since delivered over 470 projects with a £2.79bn value.

The works within the framework can vary from design and build or construct only for long-term and new clients across the public sector.

This includes:

  • Free Schools and Academies

Benefits

Value for money: Both price and quality are included in a rigorous selection process to appoint Constructor Partners to the framework. Competitive best value rates are ensured due to open book principles

No fee: The client pays no direct fee to use the frameworks that have been re-procured.

Flexible & Collaborative: Client can choose the type of contract on the basis of it being partnering and collaborative. Depending on the needs of the project, procurement can be decided to take place from RIBA Stage 0 through to Stage 4

Tried and tested: The first framework was launched in 2010, with two more shortly following. All three frameworks have been re-procured due to their success with a high percentage of repeat clients

Quick and efficient process: Saving the client’s time and effort by providing a structured pre-qualification process. This provides a contractor a minimum of six weeks if the project is demanding

Developed by the Public Sector: The framework has been developed and reviewed by public sector organisations who understand the requirements for their peers
