Sigma Capital Group has appointed Seddon to build a new development of 63 family homes for private rent in Stoke-on-Trent. The £7.8 million scheme will be marketed to families in the local area.
All of the properties will be available under Sigma’s private rental brand, Simple Life, which currently has over 2,200 build to rent homes across the country.
Located off Newport Lane in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, Stanley Park will see the transformation of derelict, brownfield land into a community of two and three-bedroom family properties.
The 63 mews-style houses – available solely for private rent – will benefit from shared drives, public open space and landscaping.
Some of the funding for the development was provided by Homes England and Stoke-on-Trent City Council via the National Housing Infrastructure Fund.
The site was once home to the former Wood and Sons and Stanley Potteries and has been fully remediated and now a 79-week construction programme is underway, with all site teams adhering to coronavirus safety measures.
Work began on the new homes in April 2020 and is due to complete towards the end of 2021.
Jason Berry, managing director at Sigma Capital Group“We’re really excited to be working with Seddon to launch our Simple Life homes in a new area for us. This is a landmark site, marking our first-time partnership with Seddon. We’re really looking forward to seeing this collaboration go from strength to strength, delivering high quality rental homes across the North West & Midlands.”
