Seddon were appointed as the contractor for Streethay Primary school through negotiation with Miller Homes.
Built as part of the Roman Height housing development Streethay, the new building includes ten spacious classrooms which are designed to accommodate 236 primary school pupils plus an additional 30 nursery places.
Seddon and Miller Homes worked in harmony with one another, all the way from the early design stages to handover. Seddon were able to provide and deliver the scheme exactly as they requested. Streethay school is a top quality product, which was delivered on time and within budget which has now been handed over to the end-user, who are now teaching their first year of primary school children.
Gleeds project managed the scheme from the very beginning all the way through, representing the client and Glancy Nicholls Architects (GNA), who completed the design from the early concept stage to construction issue drawings.
The full team of Gleeds, Seddon and GNA worked in a truly collaborative manner to deliver Streethay Primary School. Streethay had it official opening day on Monday 14th October 2019. Which our project team attended, along with visitors, parents and pupils.
