Seddon has been named by Homes England as one of 66 contractors, housebuilders, and housing associations for its new Delivery Partner Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).
The first of its kind, the DPS makes it easier for housebuilders of any size to access Homes England land, by giving them the option to apply to join at any time.
Homes England is one of the largest vendors of residential land and the DPS will be one of Homes England’s main routes for land disposal.
Seddon’s place on the DPS means we can bid for these sites more efficiently, working closely with Homes England to help bolster our residential portfolio.
Valued at £20bn, the DPS is the largest of its kind, and is Homes England’s biggest procurement exercise to date.
Stephen Kinsella, Chief Land and Development Officer at Homes England, said: “This marks a significant step forward in the way we work with developers to build homes. The flexibility of the DPS means that housebuilders can apply to join when it suits them, or when they see a relevant site on our Land Hub.”
Duncan Williams, Divisional Director at Seddon, said: “It’s great to be selected by Homes England to be part of this welcome new DPS. It is a fantastic step forward for the industry and will greatly improve the way we access and bid for land to build much-needed new homes for our customers.”
Local authorities and housing associations can also rely on the DPS as a procurement-compliant solution for finding housebuilders, making it easier for them to build homes on the land they own.
