Sapphire Partnership - Disability and Social Participation

Sapphires' Visit

Sapphire Partnership is a registered charity in Bolton, Greater Manchester that supports young adults (aged between 18 to 40) who have moderate to severe learning difficulties and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The charity supports its users to embrace all aspects of their life, whilst encouraging independence by helping them to build upon their social skills and self-development.

On a glorious spring afternoon in April, Seddon had the pleasure of welcoming a group of young people from Sapphire Partnership to our headquarters in Bolton. Accompanied by their support workers, the young people had the opportunity to listen to a presentation about the history of Seddon and the construction industry. They also completed a quiz and craft building task, and even got the chance to try on construction site PPE. After tea, cakes and biscuits, the young people enjoyed a tour of the building, where they had the opportunity to meet key personnel and learn more about what they do in the organisation, including members of the fourth generation Seddon family. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit and it was a privilege to welcome these fantastic young people on-site.

Seddon continue to nurture their relationship with Sapphire Partnership, recently donating funds to enable them to purchase new comfortable seating for their community centre.
