FORTALICE ABSEIL CHALLENGE

Fortalice

Is it Tom Cruise? The Milk Tray Man? No – its Team Seddon who faced their fears one drizzly Saturday afternoon in September, taking a leap of faith and bravely abseiling 128ft down Peel Tower. Overlooking the town of Bury and Ramsbottom, the brave group of 12 Seddon employees scaled the historic monument, helping to raise £5,000 in vital funds for Fortalice.

Fortalice are a Bolton-based charity providing front line services for people who have been affected by domestic abuse and violence. Effective community fundraising is vital for the charity, allowing them to continue delivering services to the communities that they serve in times of crisis. The donation is equivalent to:

  • 5 self contained flats to be furnished or:
  • 500 hours of childcare (this enables women to attend counselling sessions or group work), or:
  • 250 basic food and toiletries package for families arriving at the refuge.

Bravo to the daring Seddon Descenders!
