Tandle View Court is a retirement living space made up of 2 separate 50 bed blocks. Our works included the full redecoration of all the communal areas within the court following a competitive tender process.
The service provided by Housing 21 is about promoting and encouraging individuals to maintain independence in their own home.
Our job was to freshen up the entire space, whilst ensuring residents and scheme managers were satisfied and comfortable throughout the project.
This project ran for 8 weeks using Dulux products.
Outcomes and Benefits
Upon completion the team at Housing 21 were extremely satisfied with our services. Our team delivered a high quality service, to a high standard with zero defects and developed a good relationship with scheme managers for future works.
Planning and Coordination
We engaged with the scheme managers and residents by keeping them informed of progress using open and honest communications. This built trust between Seddon and the occupants who were very accommodating throughout, ensuring the team’s day-to-day operations went smoothly.
Client Engagement
All works were undertaken in an occupied environment with no issues. Scheme managers and residents gave great feedback. Weekly progress meetings were held throughout.
Challenges
As the blocks remained occupied throughout the works the challenge was ensuring we kept disruption to the residents to a minimum. The team did a great job of this and were complimented on their approach by the residents during and after the works were completed.
Environmental Impact
Our teams used shared vehicles to travel to and from site reducing emissions and we were able to monitor travel distance to site enabling us to calculate the CO2 produced and offset this throughout the project life cycle.
