This project included the refurbishment of Clock House (previously Belgrave House) into affordable social housing including two additional storeys to the roof and the installation of protection measures associated with noise. 

Refurbishment works comprise the provision of temporary access arrangements to facilitate the delivery of plant and materials, installation of hard standings and bases for access and the storage of materials, installation of new services including FRA works, decommissioning and diversion of temporary works. The site works program will be split into three stages: 

Stage 1 Works - Enabling Works: Surrounding retail premises notification, condition survey of the existing highway, erection of temporary directional signage, acoustic fencing to be installed, fixing of Heras screening to the existing boundary fencing, installation of the self-construct crossing into the site from site compound situated on the old bus station, installation of a wheel cleaning unit, construction of the compound access road and turning head, construction of the hard standing areas for material storage and recycling skips location, placement of fuel tanks. 

Works also included the creation of temporary parking for Stage 1 works and Stage 2 construction, an extension of the site access road to the offices which have already been placed on-site and connection of the site facilities to the existing foul water sewer which crosses the site. 

Stage 2 Works - Enabling Works: Asbestos removal, internal soft strip, structural steelwork to roof and water ingress prevention works to roof steel columns.

Stage 3 - Completion Works - The removal of external concrete panels, installation of internal apartments, installation of new apartments and cladding to the new roof structure, refurbishment of lifts, external works and finishes.
