FIve Spires Academy Staffordshire County Council

2.3M Contract Value
39 Duration (weeks)

Five Spires Academy was awarded through the Staffordshire County Council (SCC) Construction Projects Framework in response to a shortage of primary school places in Lichfield.

The new single-storey 1FE academy offers nursery and reception places in the school’s first year of opening, along with places for children aged six and seven. The school will grow year-on-year with a maximum of 210 full-time places and 26 nursery children.

The new academy has been created following the conversion and new build extension of the former Cherry Orchard adult training centre and comprises teaching spaces, toilets, a multi-function hall, plant room, administrative areas and a full commercial kitchen. The existing building was substantially re-modelled, including new partitions, doors, finishes, service installations, including a sprinkler system, fittings and external fabric repairs and improvements.
