Seddon Announcement: Business Continuity Test

/ News

At Seddon, we are committed to ensuring we are prepared for any eventuality that may impact our business continuity.

In light of the ongoing coronavirus situation, we are following published advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England, and taking the lead from key organisations, such as RBS and the Bank of England, by introducing strong contingency plans ahead of time.

As such, we feel that testing our continuity during a working day in the event of coronavirus causing a countrywide prolonged lockdown is the most sensible course of action to take.

To test our continuity, we are running a scenario-based exercise, with our office-based teams working remotely, to help us highlight any areas where not being able to gain access to their usual places of work may impact our ability to deliver for our customers.

For this reason, on Friday 13th March our Bolton, Stoke, Birmingham and Warrington office locations will be closed to simulate this occurrence, and all office-based staff will be working remotely.  If you need to contact a member of the Seddon Team, please do so by ringing their usual contact number, or by email.

This is a purely a hypothetical situation, which will enable us to produce the most stringent plan as possible. It will help us to ensure that we have complete continuity in our service offering to all customers and partners.

We trust you understand our reasoning behind carrying out this test and want to reassure all customers that it will not impact our daily operations going forward.

Thank you for your cooperation.
