Used as a tram depot in the 1900's, the building was then used by the council as a base for their street lighting maintenance team.
Seddon started work on the demolition of the building in November 2020, to create space for the council to use the plot as parking for their commercial fleet.
Once demolition is complete, the space will be left as hard standing with the addition of CCTV cameras and lighting, to make sure the new car park is secure.
The scheme is due to complete in early 2021.
