External estate improvements in Coventry for Citizen Housing Group. The works were spread over a large estate and involved intrusive works in and around occupied homes, gardens, predestrian walkways, public footpaths and drying areas. Secured through competitive tender, this is the first Seddon project completed for Citizen Housing Group. It embraced multiple Seddon principles, whilst having the added challenge of being a Midlands Housing Parntership, first in respect of a new region, a new team, a new client and respectively, a new supply chain.
Being our first refurbishment project meant we had a very limited supply chain to engage with, although our team worked extremely hard to source, negotiate and secure subcontractors who delivered the works to an exceptional standard. Our aim was not just to complete another contract, but to engage with Citizen Housing Group, build a long term relationship resulting in Seddon being their first choice to go to - all of which has been achieved.
The project was recognised for its approach to safety by winning a Safe Site for the Quarter Award and returning 98-100% on the SHEQ pro-evaluate audits, as well as Green Pass scores from Citizen Housing Group’s (WM Housing) external safety advisors. Completing on time, in budget, zero defects and incident free make this a project worthy of recognition.
